Sony Ericsson has launched two new smartphones with lithium battery in India under its Xperia brand. Both phones – Xperia Active and Xperia Ray – were announced in June during the CommunicAsia 2011 event in Singapore and feature the latest Android 2.3 operating system along with a 1 GHz processor. With this, the Xperia brand will include nine phones and there are more to come.Xperia Ray will be available in the second week of September while Xperia Active may hit the markets in the 4th week of the month and are expected to be priced between Rs 17,000-Rs 20,000.

Xperia Ray will be available in the second week of September while Xperia Active may hit the markets in the 4th week of the month. Both the handsets are expected to be priced between Rs 17,000-Rs 20,000.Xperia Active has a 3 inch reality display with Sony’s Mobile Bravia display technology, and a 5 megapixel camera with HD video functionality. It is a dust and water resistant phone, and incorporates wet finger tracking which means that the phone works perfectly even when the screen or the user’s fingers are wet.

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Active is for health conscious people and comes pre-loaded with sports apps that enable consumers to easily track their fitness levels. Users can set their ideal training route using the built-in GPS,barometer and compass. The on-screen heart rate and pulse can be monitored in real time (enabled by ANT+ wireless networking technology),while the iMapMyFitness app can monitor day to day performance. In addition,Facebook inside Xperia allows consumers to share their progress and experiences with friends.

The phone comes with a changeable soft-touch back cover, and detachable ear hooks for the portable handsfree for portable battery charger that ensure the earpieces remain in place while you are running. It is packed with a wrist strap and arm case for use during workouts as well. The phone is not the lightest – it weighs about 110.8 grams.Besides, the battery has a capacity of 1,200 mAh,which is measly for smartphones. We hope that Sony Ericsson has some tricks up its sleeve to make the battery last a full day.

The other new Sony phone is called Xperia Ray.Aimed more at style conscious consumers the phone comes with a sleek aluminium frame, reality display, mobile Bravia engine, and a 3.3 inch screen.Xperia Ray,which also runs on the latest Android platform for smartphones (Gingerbread 2.3),is powered by a 1 GHz processor. The phone is quite sleek, with a thickness of 9.4 mm,and it looks gorgeous.

Besides,it has an 8.1 megapixel camera with Exmor R Sony camera technology and HD video functionality, which means that the camera will be one of the best,if not the best,in its class.Xperia Ray incorporates a front facing camera and a scratch resistant screen with excellent resolution and brightness, and integrated touch keys. The phone is light at just 100 grams. All the other bells and whistles of the smartphone lithium batteries such as WiFi,3G,Bluetooth and DLNA are all present.

Smartphones today are just like power hungry monsters. No matter how bigger battery they have, how long the smartphone will perform between charges depends largely on the user’s device usage pattern.Sometimes mainly due to our usage pattern smartphones loose a lot of battery power and with a little attention to detail will help your battery go a long way.Calling,messaging,gaming,multimedia-there are many utilities that a smartphone today offers and more we use those, the lesser battery backup we get.

There are plenty of softwares available today that promise to enhance the battery backup of your device. These softwares actually help save some power that gets wasted due to amateurish use of devices. But,without these softwares also, one can get maximum out of their smartphone battery without cutting down on tasks such as calling, messaging, internet usage or even gaming.

Set a shorter screen timeout

Screen timeout time is the time taken by a display to go to the standby from an active mode. This mode allows the display to save power when the display is not required by turning it off.By default, many devices are set on a two minute timeout which means the display will go to sleep mode after 2 minutes and if you do not need the display to be on for that much time without any activity turn it down to 15 seconds or 30 seconds to save your phone battery power.

Optimise Display brightness

The display of a smartphone alone uses a major chunk of the lithium battery power. But,we can optimise the display to consume just the right amount of power and thereby increasing efficiency too.All smartphones today come with ambient light sensors but by default the system is set on a comfortable brightness setting that allows the display to be visible in both bright and low light conditions. So,if your device is not using the ambient light sensor it is unnecessarily wasting energy. The ambient light sensor controls the screen brightness according to the ambient light thereby conserving power wherever possible.

Say no to live wall papers

Live wallpapers,as we all know, are really cool with all this jazzy effects and transition. But to do all that they use the processing power of the smartphone and thereby consuming battery power even when sitting idle.Processors are optimised to go on a low power mode as soon as activity level goes low in order to conserve battery but live wallpapers restrict it from getting in a low power mode.

Timely sync

Devices today are connected to the internet 24 x 7 and due to that manufacturers have come up with synchronisation services online that keep a safe and secure backup of your device. But,the service manufacturers also set the device to sync data with the online accounts whenever there is a change or addition to the files on device. If you are not a very heavy user you can reduce the number of times your device synchronises itself with the account. This way the device will drastically reduce the online activity that otherwise continues in the background and consumes power too.

Turn of radios if not required

Bluetooth ,WiFi,GPRS – all such radios or wireless connectivity protocols come at No 2 position when it comes to power consumption after the display.Usually, people forget to turn off the Bluetooth radio once the work is done.Same is the case with the WiFi radio which draws a lot of power from the lithium batteries to stay operational without the need to do so.So be smart and remember to turn off the radio similarly you turn off your car’s ignition after you reach your destination.

GPS is for outdoors only

Global Positioning System is a unique technology that allows the device to be aware of its location by getting data directly from the geo stationary satellites way above in the sky.But do you know that GPS only works when you have a clear line of sight for the sky? Many applications such as your camera app too utilises GPS to tag the location of the photograph and many times such apps continue to run in the background while utilising GPS as well.Always, keep a check on what all services are running on your device and especially the GPS if you are indoors when it won’t do any good to you other than feasting upon the battery power.

Use the task manager often

Today as the devices are getting faster, the operating systems are also changing.Today operating systems do not kill the applications automatically as soon as you exit from it or move your focus to another application.Rather, all the applications keep running in the background although in a low power state, utilizing both processing power and memory that leads to a lower battery life.If you do not need an application, kill the application from the task manager. This way the background activity will be reduced and also the device will perform faster.

And Finally Vibrate less

Vibration mode is today available on all smartphones but do we actually know why was it invented?Well, the vibrate mode was invented to alert the user when the device is in his pocket or bag but today most people use it regardless.Vibrators use much more battery power than the normal ringer does. So,if you can do without it,it’s good for you.Even touchscreen devices today provide haptic feedback to make the touch feel more realistic. But as said earlier that too uses battery,so if you can do away with the feedback it will help you save some more battery. This is especially useful for those who do a lot of texting.

Learn how to use, charge and discharge the smartphone battery properly for longer battery life. The biggest problem with Android devices seems to be their mediocre battery life.Android has been around for a while, and people expect a lot better, though in my experience, most smartphone users on any operating system tend to do more and more with their phone and could always do with longer battery life.

Modern smartphones come with Lithium Polymer and lithium battery.Every time the phone reaches 100 percent battery charge limit, the statistics get flushed.Dianne Hackborn,Android software engineer with Google busted that myth by clarifying that it has no impact on the current battery level shown or on the battery life. In order to save battery, one should ideally avoid keeping Bluetooth,GPS and WiFi modules on when they’re not being used.

No matter how hooked you are to your Android apps, there will certainly come a time where you will have no other choice but to stop. Not because you’ve had enough of Rovio’s Angry Birds Space but because your phone eventually ran out of power and it needs the time to recharge. But unlike any other devices,Android smartphones and tablets consume a lot of power.Lucky are you if you can make your device last for more than 8 hours.Well, that can be done but you have to make use of certain battery-saving measures. What we have here are two effective solutions that can help boost your Android device’s battery lifespan. The first option is quite easy to do but will require a rooted Android device. As for the second option, rooting isn’t required but it will take a bit of time.

Over a period of time we have seen on how you can taste your different Android phones with the custom ROMs,also in the articles of custom ROMs we have been talking about the calibration of battery which we will see on how exactly you can do the same and also in the due course of this article we will see on what exactly the calibration of battery means to you with its benefits. Here is how you can calibrate your smartphone battery chargers, and without spending any extra buck.By calibrating the device’s battery you will know exactly how much power is left,so you won’t find yourself in a situation where your phone switches off while you’re waiting for an important call.

Step one:

Let the battery drain till it dies completely.Once you install the custom ROM in your phone, you need to ensure that you have charged your phone for 3 -4 days of time so that the battery gets aligned to the usage pattern of yours.Ensure that in these 3 – 4 days of time you are not charging till the battery becomes 15 – 20% so as to utilize the full charging cycles.

Step two:

Connect the device to the charger and let it charge till it is 100 percent full. Now,once the battery is charged full after 3 – 4 days, you then need to connect the phone to the computer with the help of USB cable and then connecting the USB cable to the computer, enter into the recovery mode.

Step three:

Unplug as soon as the battery indicator on the display shows or beeps when the device battery is fully charged. Now,to enter the recovery mode there are different key pattern which you need to follow for different phones as its different for different phones.Like, for entering into the recovery mode in your Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy S2 as well as in the Samsung Galaxy Ace you will have to first turn off your device, long press the volume up key, press Menu as holding both the buttons press the power button to start into the recovery mode.

Step four:

Switch off the smartphone.Take out the battery and put it back in to start using the device normally.Ideally, the above process needs to be followed for two to three days. After that you need to charge your battery regularly and only when the low battery indicator beeps.

It is necessary to charge the device with the supplied charger.Using a different brand or duplicate charger damages the device’s battery in the long run.Always wait for the device to beep for low primary battery and then connect it to the appropriate power source for charging it completely.Leaving the phone charging overnight also disrupts the cells in the battery and reduces its life in the long run.

Most modern cell phones are more than just a communication device;they also serve as a navigation system,a Web browser,a handheld game system,a music player,a day-planner and much more. It’s getting harder and harder to get by without one of these multifunction cell phones. But running all those applications uses a lot of battery power. And even with cell phone accessories like car chargers and emergency chargers, your battery power may not last long enough.Over time, your cell phone battery will start to degrade and battery life will shorten. When a cell phone battery starts to degrade, you may think of replacing your cell phone altogether. But if your cell phone is still fairly new,it may be less expensive to buy a replacement battery. This guide will help you choose the replacement batteries for your cell phone.

Choosing a Replacement Battery:

Purchase a replacement battery. If both the manufacturer and the cell phone carrier refuse to send you a replacement battery, you will need to find your own battery. You may find batteries made by both the original manufacturer and third-party manufacturers.Do your research before buying.More than one kind of replacement battery might be made with inferior materials or a low percentage of the active ingredient, have less battery power than a quality-made battery or have a short battery life. You don’t want to wind up purchasing another replacement battery in a few months.

Contact your cell phone manufacturer. You can get cell phone manufacturer information easily on the Web.Ask them if they offer any warranty on the battery or cover the cost of a replacement battery. If they agree to pay for a replacement battery, they may ask for a proof of purchase to reimburse you. Also, don’t forget to check with your cell phone carrier or your cell phone manufacturer to see if using a third-party replacement battery voids the warranty.Remember to always dispose of your old cell phone battery by recycling it properly.Search online for places in your neighborhood that recycle dry-cell and lithium rechargeable batteries. There are plenty of free recycling services to help you reduce you environmental impact.

Review your cell phone information. To get the right type of replacement battery, you will need to know what kind of cell phone you have and what kind of battery is suitable. Most cell phone carriers rename the cell phones that they carry. You need to know the actual name and model number of your cell phone, not the cell phone’s carrier-assigned name,to find a replacement battery. This information can be found in your user manual. You may also want to write down the IMEI number and the battery type and serial number. You can also find it on the inside of your cell phone, usually on a sticker or plaque underneath the battery. Also, review your cell phone purchase information. Many cell phone companies offer a one-year warranty for batteries.

Technology has advanced quite rapidly over the past few decades, moving from giant computers and bulky landline phones to portable laptops and mobile devices. It can be very convenient to be able to work wirelessly, not having to fuss with cords and being able to move around as you please. However, wireless activity can often be cut short with the sudden draining of a lithium battery.Once your battery is dead, you can’t do anything until it’s recharged. However, learning how to keep your battery alive for longer periods of time is as easy as following a few rules and guidelines.A little maintenance will keep your battery charged through the cold months as well as the warmer ones.

Estimate the age of your battery. If it’s more than 4 years old, replace it.Ask your mechanic to perform a ‘load test’ on your battery. This tests whether the battery is capable of generating sufficient charge on below-freezing days.If it fails the test, replace the battery.Clean the battery terminals if they are encrusted with deposits.Use a wire brush dipped in baking soda and water to clean them of corrosion and ensure that the deposits do not block the flow of electrical current.Check to make sure the water level in the battery hasn’t dropped. You can do this on conventional batteries by popping off the plastic cover and checking to see that the water inside reaches the plastic filler necks.Add distilled water if necessary.

Consider investing in an engine or battery heater if you live in an especially cold climate. The heater can reduce the power that’s needed to start your car.In severe cases, the battery may need to be recharged with a battery charger to bring it back to life.Your car may not be starting because other components in the charging system are failing,or because of a bad starter motor.Recharging your battery improperly may fry it and other electrical accessories in your car,so it needs to be done slowly.Keep open flames away from your battery–the chemicals inside it are combustible.Battery acid is highly corrosive. When adding distilled water to the battery, take care that acid doesn’t splatter on your skin or clothes.

Maintenance-free batteries, however, generally have an indicator light that goes black when the battery needs service; take these types to a mechanic for service.Check the tightness of the battery cable ends.A loose battery connection can prevent your car from starting and acts just like a dead battery. If you can move the battery cable ends that are attached to the battery terminals at all, they are too loose.Check that the battery is securely fastened in the battery tray.A loose battery that’s allowed to shift around can cause damage if it is able to tip over under the hood.Excessive vibration will also shorten the life of your battery.

Reduce the screen brightness. The brighter the screen, the more energy required to keep it shining.Whether you’re on a laptop,a mobile device,or anything else with a screen,if you need to extend your battery life, dim the brightness as much as you can while maintaining legibility and comfort.Set the screen timeout to be short. On laptops and mobile devices, typically there will be a setting that turns off the screen if the device has been idle for a period of time.Setting the idle time as short as possible will help prevent the screen from using up primary battery life when it’s not needed.Close unnecessary background applications.Every single program or application that runs on your device uses up energy, even if it’s idling in the background. When you’re done with a program, make sure you exit out of it instead of sending it to the background.

We all like getting new phones, right? In all the excitement of a new cell phone, many consumers forget about the battery. After all,the battery is just the thing you throw into the cell phone external battery to make it work – why must we worry about it instead of playing with our new bazillion inch touchscreen? The thing about the battery, though,is if you condition it properly when it is new,it will last longer and last stronger; and since no one likes to have to recharge their cell phone midday, giving the battery its due rights at the beginning is in the best interest of all of us.

Conditioning a cell phone battery properly is a process that every purchaser of a new cell phone should follow.Too often, though, new cell phone owners do not follow a proper battery conditioning regimen, resulting in a bricked battery that cannot hold a charge. If you properly condition the battery,it should provide years of use.Assemble your cell phone as directed. In nearly all cases, your cell phone battery will be partially charged to begin with.Do not plug in your cell phone right away, instead use it normally until the battery is completely discharged. If you improperly charge your cell phone the first couple of times out,you can easily ruin the battery.

Plug your cell phone, battery intact, into a wall charger.Do not charge your cell phone via USB or a car charger the first time out,as the voltage will not be the same.To condition a cell phone battery properly, use the original equipment charger with the proper voltage.Use your cell phone as normal, now that it is fully charged. To condition a brand new cell phone lithium battery, try not to use media or web-heavy functions straight off the bat that will drain the battery quickly. You want the battery to discharge the first few times at a slow, even rate.

Drain the battery fully before plugging the cell phone in.Do not fall into temptation to plug the cell phone in a second time before the battery is fully drained. While this will not damage your cell phone or battery during standard use,you need to properly condition the cell phone battery by draining it completely before plugging in.Repeat the process four or five more times before even thinking about plugging in your cell phone when you still have battery power left. After completing proper cell phone battery conditioning,it will not hurt your cell phone battery to plug the cell phone in every night or to convenient power sources such as USB ports during the day.

Conditioned cell phone batteries are meant to be able to catch a few minutes of charge as needed, but it is the first few days that are vital to good conditioning.Continue to drain your cell phone battery completely before plugging it in at every available opportunity.Regardless of the age or conditioning of your cell phone battery,it will always last longer over time when discharged fully before charging again.Don’t obsess over it to the point where it affects the way you use your phone; $35 for a new cell phone primary battery is not the end of the world.

The iPhone 4 has a unique design feature—it uses the stainless steel frame and bezel to serve as radio antennas instead of hiding them inside the case. The new release of the iPhone 4 has caused a craze among the cell phone industry. The day that the phone was released, there were lines wrapping around every Apple and AT&T store which carried it.The iPhone 4 is a revolutionary phone which introduces futuristic and advanced technology never before included in cell phones, however there is one main issue with the phone which has caused serious issues for the new owners of this phone: reception problems.

Less than a week after the release of the iPhone 4,the phone’s owners were reporting experiencing serious reception problems. After some investigation of the reception issues,it has been concluded that the issues were caused by holding the bottom left of the phone. The reason for this is that the phone’s antenna is a metal band which wraps all the way around the outer edge of the phone. This new change, while supposedly increasing the reception of the phone external battery pack, has actually caused the reception problem. The issue is that when someone holds the bottom left of the phone (where the antenna band connects),it immediately lowers the reception of the phone because of the contact with a person’s hand.

We tried to replicate the problem with our own iPhone 4 models, fresh from the Apple Store this morning. At first we didn’t notice any issues with signal strength. After some effort (and help from a video so that we could perfect our technique) we were able to reproduce the problem—if your palms aren’t sweaty,we discovered it actually helps to lick them. It’s unfortunate that Apple appears to have overlooked such an important detail—after all, attention to detail is something that Apple generally prides itself on.

There are many types of cases available for the iPhone 4.Some are plastic, some leather, and some rubber. It doesn’t matter which type you use as long as they cover the problem area of the phone. The type of case that I would recommend would be the iPhone 4 Battery Case,as it serves a versatile purpose: protecting the phone from damage, preserving your iPhone’s signal by covering the problem area, and lastly it can charge your phone while you have it on.There is a resolution to this problem however which can fix your reception problem for good.If you put a case on your iPhone 4 power bank which covers the outside of the phone, particularly the bottom left corner where the antenna band connects, the reception will no longer drop no matter how you grip your phone. So,by putting a case of some sort on your iPhone 4 will preserve your reception while allowing you to still enjoy all of the other benefits the new phone has to offer.

Given the methods that Apple used to attempt to keep iPhone 4 prototypes under wraps, though,it’s possible that wireless engineers may not have caught this issue during testing.Since those carrying prototypes had them disguised in a plastic case made to resemble an iPhone 3GS,the antenna bridging problem could have been mitigated by plastic covering the bezel. It’s also possible that those doing the testing never held the phone in the specific way necessary to trigger the problem. Those of us on staff found that our natural grips didn’t automatically cause this issue, but cupping the iPhone 4 tightly in the palm would.

If you are left-handed or predominantly use the phone in your left hand, you may want to be aware of the problem. The known workarounds for now include holding the phone without cupping it,holding it higher up on the bezel, holding it in your right hand,or using a protective case.We certainly hope that Apple didn’t design its iPhone 4 Bumpers just to mitigate this problem.

One of the most important tips offered by users and experts alike is to regulate the temperature in which the iPhone operates. The lithium battery of the iPhone functions best in temperatures ranging from 32 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit,or 0 to 35 degrees Celsius. At its extremities, the iPhone can still function between -4 and 113 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 to 45 degrees Celsius) but temperatures beyond these ranges will be detrimental to your iPhone battery. In other words, leaving your iPhone in a freezer or in a hot car is probably not a good idea.Keep it out of direct sunlight as well.

This next tip culled from forums and the like is not so clear-cut.There are some who claim that allowing the iPhone battery to completely discharge more than once a month is not advisable, while others believe that no harm can come of it.What seems to have a consensus is that the iPhone batteries must be fully discharged from a full a discharge once a month in order to reset the battery meter. It is also useful to have an idea of your actual usage as well as your battery life in order that you can more fully understand your options.

You can view your usage statistics in the Settings Menu under the General Tab then Usage. You will see Usage, which is the time that the iPhone was in active mode which means you were on a call, watching a video, listening to music, browsing the Internet, and so on.It will also show your Standby time, which is the total amount of time the iPhone power bank has been running from its last full charge, whether in active mode or not.Usage divided by Standby time will give you a percentage of the time you were actively using your iPhone. The higher this percentage, the more often you will need to charge your iPhone,so plan accordingly.

Something new, though. Some users have noticed that proximity to a cell tower (thus providing access to a strong signal) extends the battery life. This may be because network searching is brought to a minimum. So try to stay in areas with a good signal.A last and final tip is to use your iPhone regularly,so you massage the kinks out of the system and become familiar with the peculiarities of your particular unit. After all, your phone is a highly personal gadget, and should be treated as such.

Updating to the latest official version of the software using iTunes may help you with taking care of the iPhone battery, but that’s still up for grabs. Some users complain that the update from 3 to 3.1 wreaked havoc on some applications. However, updates and patches are supposed to help improve the performance,so maybe that last one was a bit of a fluke. At any rate, before updating your software, check out the forums to see what the feedback is from those who have already updated their software. And of course, the old standby of using on the applications you need, turning off push,3G and lowering the brightness of the display and so on are still part and parcel of keeping your iPhone mobile backup battery in good health for a longer period.Just because you’ve heard it before doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.

How to take battery out of iPhone and replace it with new iPhone battery is pretty complicated, and can be one of the scariest things you can do with a primo expensive gadget that you depend on pretty much all the way.If you really want to try it,you should at least know your way around a soldering iron as you will need it to mess around with some sensitive electronics with that hot tip.The most difficult part is how to take battery out of iPhone first, replacing the dead one merely the coup de grace.Follow the instructions below carefully and if you doubt your ability to do it properly, stop.

The following steps are specific to the First and Second generation of the iPhone You will need a replacement batteries for your iPhone,a small flat screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver,a spudger (a disassembly tool used for manipulating small components, usually made of nylon with a metal hook),a soldering iron, and a lot of care and patience.

Phase One: How to take battery out of iPhone

Use the spudger to detach the LCD from the back panel by inserting it between the chrome ring and the front panel.Lift the display panel, and using the spudger release the black ribbon marked with a “1″.Remember to release this black cable first to avoid shorting out the board. Proceed with disconnecting the other ribbon cables. The spudger can be used to disengage the white tab holding the cable.Remove the display panel and set aside.

Remove the SIM tray by finding the small black hole near the jack for the headphones using a paperclip. This is to avoid damaging it when you open the outer cover.

Find the two screws located on either side of the charging dock using the small Phillips screwdriver.Once you’ve removed them, you can start taking off the back cover.

Don’t panic, but be careful nevertheless. The back cover may require some force and bending to remove it.Use the flat screwdriver to create a wedge between the black plastic cover and the front of the IPhone.Unless you have a plastic wedge, you’ll probably do some damage to the cover.Lift up from the back and slide the case forward to release it.

Carefully detach the ribbon cable that connects the case to the motherboard and set it aside to be reattached after you have replaced your battery.

To remove the motherboard, you need to locate and remove eight screws with the Phillips screwdriver. One screw should be located under a warranty sticker.Lastly, detach a ribbon cable marked “4″ and lift the motherboard out. There will be a ribbon connecting the board to the camera.Remove the camera from its housing in the back panel, but it will remain attached to the board.

Carefully disengage the board from the dock connector using the spudger. It should lift easily if all screws have been removed. Slide it out.The mobile backup battery should be right in front of you.

Using the flat head screwdriver, gently pry up the old battery from the slot, avoiding contact with any of the connecting wires that lead to the system board.Usually, the wires are held in place with sticky glue, which you will have to remove using the flat head screwdriver.

With the wires unglued, use the soldering iron to detach the wires, starting from the right, from the connectors on the board.Take note of where the new battery’s wires should be placed.Be careful here. You can ruin your board with the wrong kind of pressure.Remove the old battery.

Phase Two: The easy part Replacing with the new iPhone Battery

Your new iPhone battery should have three wires, one of which is encased in plastic to prevent touching the other wires and shorting it out.Connect the two exposed wires first with a soldering iron, and then the protected one last.Place the new battery on its slot.Reconnect all the cables and screws of the motherboard, replace the camera, and attach the ribbons for the display panel.Your iPhone should power up automatically. If it fails to do so,restart the iPhone using the home button.Once the iPhone powers up successfully, you’re done and may replace the outer cover.Don’t forget to reinsert the SIM tray.

Hopefully, everything works out with this DIY how to replace iPhone battery.Again, the above instructions only apply to first and second generation iPhones, and there are no guarantees that your iPhone will work after you’ve replaced the battery.Unless you have some experience with electronic repair or don’t mind buying a new iPhone to replace your ruined one, then you should proceed with this operation with extreme prejudice.

Opinions and complaints about the iPhone battery life have flooded the internet over these past months, especially when the 3.0 update was liberated to function.Users become furious when their iPhones easily get hot and they seem to be draining a huge percentage of power every hour.Often times, the longest possible active period of the battery is 3 hours, then the battery goes kaput, and that is not something that users are happy about. In fact, the battery life is considered to be one of the iPhone’s “cons” when being compared to other prominent Smartphones in the market.

Fortunately, there are ways to alleviate this quandary. You’ve just got to be more aware of your iPhone.Furthermore, you also have to know the important features and applications that really matter.Do you love your iPhone? Certainly you do, and so you might be interested in knowing how to take good care of your cell phone external battery so that it could live longer.Otherwise,if there’s too much going on in your iPhone, that will just contribute to the dwindle of your iPhones battery life. Here are 7 ways to improve the longevity of your iPhone’s battery:

Put off the WiFi and Bluetooth

WiFi eats up a lot of battery power. You must know that all these eat up lot of battery,so turning them off when not required saves lot of battery and hence increases the battery life too.If you’re in the office and in front of a personal computer with internet connection, this is the best time to turn of WiFi Really,WiFi consumes a lot of battery energy, and if you don’t need to have network connection,it would be better to shut it down.If you’re on the go and will be busy with other things other than browsing from your iPhone, you probably wouldn’t need WiFi and Bluetooth. You can put these off by going to Settings.

Brightness should be modest

The logic behind this is simple. The brighter the screen, the more it uses power.Set it at a modest level. The Auto-Brightness feature is convenient as it automatically accustoms iPhone’s display to go with the current lighting conditions. However, this feature may also be taking a little power from the battery because it entails monitoring of settings. It would be better to settle with a dimmer yet clear display setting. It’s basically to change iPhone’s screen brightness on the basis of surrounding light and so consumes battery. Also lowering the brightness can save lot of battery.Any brightness level between 25% and 30% is ideal for all times, i.e. day and night. Not a bad idea to keep a constant brightness level,as it’ll be good for iphone power bank as well as your eyes.

Change the setting of email auto-checking

If you still have the default settings, your iPhone will check for new mails every 15 minutes. While it’s convenient during work days,it would be annoying during vacations or even during the weekends or at night time.To lessen the checking effort of your iPhone, choose a long interval between checkings, perhaps every 3 hours or more. But if you’re not expecting something important at the moment,it would be better to put auto-checking off.

Put sound effects off

Sound effects can also eat up battery power.Putting sound effects off is easy.Just go to Settings, then General, then Sound effects, then turn it off.It really saves lot of your battery. Many times you can have fun without sound effects too!

Set Auto-Lock

The longer the display is in use,the more it uses battery power.Shut off the screen automatically by using the iPhone’s autolock feature. You can set your iPhone to automatically lock after 1 minute of being idle.Putting it to “sleep mode” every after usage can also greatly prolong battery life.

Keep your iPhone ON

This may come as a surprise, but keeping your iPhone ON in “sleep mode” is much better than completely turning it off.The fact is,turning ON your iPhone utilizes much more battery power than just leaving it to sleep. The sleep mode puts off all network activity.

Keep the temperature right

Keep your iPhone away from the heat of the sun.Better yet, keep your iPhone away from any environment that’s remarkably hot,as it will greatly reduce battery life. The best battery life atmosphere for iPhone usage is 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C) and storage is around -4° to 113° F (-20° to 45° C)

All these might seem a lot to keep track on.But if you give attention to these little details, you can have a whole lot of extra battery life,no need for constant recharging. The above list of battery saving tips may not be complete, and you can always add up your points to it,but it covers almost all areas where you can protect your iPhone external batteries.Use your iPhone with proper care, and it’ll live longer and perform best, exactly how and till when you want it!
